A fun debate broke out on Twitter yesterday and spilled over into today. It was started by the brilliant Jon Bois, who asked the simple question(s):
“Wait, is Eric Karros the most 1992 baseball player? Moreso than Todd Zeile? He just might be. This begs further reflection.”
I said Steve Avery. Others threw out Pat Listach, Phil Plantier, Andy Van Slyke, Travis Fryman, etc., before Bois settled on Danny Darwin, and then resettled on Candy Maldonaldo. This is how we spend our days and nights.
Anyway, Chris threw out an excellent suggestion of a guy I hadn’t thought of in some time, probably because he’s so very 1992, Mr. Mike Devereaux.
