The Los Angeles Dodgers had the best record in the NL this season. They have on of the best hitters of our generation, aided artificially or not. They have a stacked bullpen. But do they scare you?

Having followed this Phils team for the past few years, not a lot scares me anymore. I'm more scared of our bullpen blowing a game than I am of the Dodgers shutting the Phillies bats down. Could a team throwing an aging Randy Wolf and Vicent Padilla really beat this Phillies team in a seven game series? We'll find out.

It starts tonight with the ball going to last year's post season hero, Cole Hamels.

Hamels may have had some other things on his mind during the NLCS and that's fine. The Phillies were good enough to beat the Rockies without a stud performance from their 1a. But they'll need more from him against the Dodgers if they want to return to the Fall Classic.

The Phillies will face youngster Clayton Kershaw who they're fairly familiar with. As mentioned yesterday, Kershaw is winless in two starts against the Phils this season and 0-3 in six career appearances.

Sure, the Dodgers have a stacked pen, but Charlie added Eric Freaking Bruntlett to the NLCS roster to counter that. Don't fear the Beardo.

Most Phillies fans have faith in Cole, Cliff, Pedro, and Blanton if that's who Charlie opts to go with. It's that roller coaster of a bullpen that will keep us up at night. Or, in the early evening this series. Thanks, MLB!

We all know the facts, these are two good baseball teams. It all starts tonight with Cole. Daddy's gonna step up.

First pitch is set for 8:07.
