Our 2012 keeper rankings focus on leagues that must gage the value of players for at least the next 3-5 years.
C – 1B – 2B – 3B – SS – OF – DH – SP – CL
It’s not a very good list, but I case you have a DH spot to fill in your keeper league, here’s our rankings.
1. Jesus Montero, 22 – His value skyrockets if the M’s give him enough time behind the dish.
2. Billy Butler, 25
3. Victor Martinez, 33 – This obviously doesn’t apply to 2012 due to his knee surgery.
4. David Ortiz, 36
5. Luke Scott, 33
6. Chris Carter, 25 – Huge power, but big swing leads to strikeout issues. A’s will give him a chance this season.
7. Travis Hafner, 34
8. Vladimir Guerrero, 37
9. Bobby Abreu, 37
10. Hideki Matsui, 37
