The first wave of results are in for the American League voting totals for the 2012 MLB All-Star Game and the Boston Red Sox find only DH David Ortiz leading at his position.

Adrian Gonzalez is not among the top five at first base. The same thing goes for Kevin Youkilis (third base) and Mike Aviles (shortstop) among the Red Sox infielders. Only Dustin Pedroia is among the top five at second and he's in third place almost 750,000 votes behind Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler.

Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who is having an All-Star like season, is also not among the top five at catcher. In the outfield, only Jacoby Ellsbury is among the top 15 in 14th place. He is about 650,000 votes out of third place.

I guess it goes without saying that we, Red Sox Nation, need to get ourselves together and vote our boys into the 2012 MLB All-Star Game. So what are you waiting for, get voting people.
