Inter-league play is about to wrap-up this weekend, which is good for most of the NL teams who got exposed by their AL counterparts.
The AL is winning the majority of the match-ups thus far with a 119-91 record but it has not been the easy street of years past.
The Yankees finally lost this past week but still remain in the top stop because they have been the best team in baseball since May 21st.
The Tigers played a tad better after a horrid start but the competitive-less AL Central provides them with the luxury of time. But it has been long enough.
Out West the Dodgers are still winning and proving that they are a force to be reckoned with; as are the SF Giants, who are hanging right on their tails in the NL West.
Now the team that most worries me is the Mets who, it is safe to say will be contending for a playoff berth. This team is a scrappy, perfect blend of young and old but they also want to win for skipper Terry Collins. And that my friend…. is a scary combo.
