Joe Morgan never did it. Neither did Ryne Sandberg. Both came close on a pair of occasions but couldn't seal the deal. In fact, only one second baseman in major league history has hit 30 homers and stolen 30 bases in the same season ? Alfonso Soriano, who's done it three times (02 & 03 NYY, 05 TEX). Of the many decades and eras, All-Star's and Hall of Famer's, just one keystoner has pulled it off ? until now. Enter a 26-year-old second sacker who was dealt last spring for a career minor leaguer but has since put the senior circuit on its collective ear. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Brandon Phillips.

Let's hope the Reds lock him up, guys like him come around very often. I was a huge fan of Barry Larkin and this is the closest thing we have to him. He ain't Barry, but the Reds need something to build around.
