Game Sixty-Two - Cubs 6 White Sox 5
WP - Kevin Gregg (1-1) LP - Matt Thornton (4-2) Save - None
The Cubs appeared well on their way to losing their second game in a row. The offense was horrible for seven innings and managed only one run on four singles off of Gavin Floyd. Explaining Risk Tolerance With One At-Bat
This post on Bleed Cubbie Blue on today's game is the kind of first-rate analysis you get on Al Gore's InterWeb:And yet, it wasn't any of those things that finally won the game for the Cubs. It was Alfonso Soriano taking off for second base, somewhat ill-advisedly, we thought, but stealing his first base since June 5, and that set up Ryan Theriot's bouncer that...

205 Drop: Top 10 MLB Bets I Wish I Could Make
Today's drop was written a brief period of time ago, just before Toronto closer (and, inevitably, a guy that I own in a roto league) Scott Downs hit the disabled list after attempting to run after batting. You know, something that pitchers do every 2-3 times a game in the National League, though admittedly, not so much on the reliever side. My opponents already own the guys who...

Posted by Lionel on June 18, 2009.The man who will get the Cubs going is....Pedro Martinez? According to Pedro himself, the Cubs and the Rays have shown the most interest in Pedro and he is likely to sign a deal soon. There are so many angles to this story, but I'll try to cover them all.First, let's remember that it's a report from the player, not from any other source...
