An excruciating win
That game was five hours of sitting at the edge of your seat, hoping for the best while fearing the worst, living and dying with every pitch. It was mentally exhausting watching the Angels make mistake after mistake, only seeing them do just well enough to end the much-talked about postseason losing streak to the [...]
Papelbon Ruins One Of Craig Sager's Colorful Sport Coats
The Red Sox know how to win in the clutch, but I personally think they're better at celebrating. Johnathan Papelbon is a bit of a nutcase, but I think I speak for TV viewers everywhere for destroying that orange monstrosity that Craig Sager was wearing last night....That was a heck of a spray right there (that's what she said!), and you could tell he was waiting that whole...
Punching Our Ticket to the ALCS
That was playoff baseball tonight. Wow.Jon Lester, what can you say? He's been tremendous all
year. He's done everything we've asked him to do and he gave us a shot to win
tonight. The lead disappeared in the eighth, but not for long.
This is just a great feeling to get a walk-off win in the
ninth. Jed Lowrie, a rookie, gets the game-winning hit. As a fellow

Red Sox have a flair for the dramatic
The Boston Red Sox make it back to the ALCS with a dramatic series clinching win over the Angels. It was sick play after sick play! I guess that is what playoff baseball is all about.

ALDS Game 4: Tonight Lester proves he's the ace
Let's keep it simple here people:
Jon Lester is 11-1 at Fenway with a .249 ERA.
John Lackey is 2-4 in 8 starts at the Fens with a 6.34 ERA.
Both guys pitched very well in Game 1. Lackey's one mistake to Jason Bay proved to be the difference. I'm hoping for a few more mistakes tonight.
If you're...

I'm on no sleep... NO SLEEP!
Have you ever fought off sleep for so long that your body eventually assumes that it's not going to get it's daily reboot, so it just goes back to keeping you awake?
That was me somewhere around the 7th inning last night.
Josh Beckett's continued communication problems with Tek had last night's...

More on the Angels versus the American League East
Would the Angels have made the playoffs if the played in the American League East? Here I tackle that question from multiple angles.
Point/Counterpoint: Angles & Red Sox Game 3
I realize my man Gil is the eternal optimist when it comes to his team (they are nicknamed the Angels, after all), but I would be remiss as a Sox supporter if I did not attempt to counter his recent rose-colored claims as to why his team still has a chance to win the 2008 [...]
