Slamming the door on Texas' faint hopes for the postseason, and forcing an Angels rematch with ancient nemesis Boston, the Angels beat Scott Feldman for only the first time this year in a relatively tight but ultimately satisfying outing. The Angels led from Bobby Abreu's first-inning solo homer on; Robb Quinlan in what may be one of his last LAAoA appearances did absolutely nothing, but Chris Pettit got his first major league hit. Sean O'Sullivan got the win for going five inning...
