I Just heard it come across the newswire. So awesome! Karma finally catches up with him.

I can't believe it, I really can't. More dominos will follow for sure. Weird, there is a chance that in 1 year, Marion Jones is gone, O.J. Simpson is behind bars, and Barry Bonds is disgraced and behind bars.

Will Bobblehead Barry see a jail cell? I thought they would get him on tax evasion, although they still might, I didn't think this would happen.

I have this weird feeling he beats this but not the tax evasion. If it took them so long to get an indictment....they may have a problem with real tangible evidence come trial. I still think the tax evasion is an easy one to nail him on...but who knows...stranger things have happened.
  • Well, my sister works for the Feds, and this much is for certain. They crossed their "t's" and dotted their "i's", so there is preponderance of evidence; however, with the right legal representation anyone could get off.

I don't see Bonds pulling a Vick -- I see him fighting tooth and nail to the very end. It depends on what evidence is that will determine whether I think he gets off.

If Anderson for some reason ratted him out, he's up the creek.

We kinda all saw this coming. It was going to come now or later. I mean he lied. Every body lies but Barry, WOW. I very highly doubt he is ever going to com to the MLB ever again. It is like Michael Vick. You do something wrong you're out. It's pretty obvious. BIG THUMBS DOWN!!!

Peter Gammons was on ManGirl and Meatball this morning and said the feds had a postive steroid test on Barry and if that was true he didn't think Bonds would make it into the Hall. Now Gammons might just be talking sh-- or he might have something.

MLB and the media are sacrificing Barry Bonds in order to try to put and "end" to the steroid era of baseball. They've been on a man hunt for a scapegoat and finally Anderson turned dime, and Barry will pay the price. I hope he fights this to the end, and stays out of prison. There's no reason we should be placing baseball immortality behind bars. I hope Bud Selig, the media and the rest of the country realize that this will not put an end to steroid use in baseball. Steroids are as much a part of baseball, albeit an unseen one, as sliding into second. It happens all the time, but no one gives it too much attention.
  • My personal belief is everyone was doing it (steroids/PED's) from top to bottom, and the three-ring circus' business is about to pick up. The feds got their man, and they are going to make an example out of him. He allegedly lied to the feds, and pissed on their shows.

The case now isn't about Bonds' perjury, it's about how he's ruined American sports and the sanctity of a game.

Why the fuss isn't raised about football - I have no idea.

All the moralists, talking heads, experts, etc., are coming out; however, cheating is rampant in every segment of society and people seem to be selective as to what they want to fight about and turn a blind eye to.

Sheffield, Giambi, and all the guys caught are being given a pass â€" thus, Bonds has sinned & is in a word of trouble not because he did drugs, but because he was arrogant, ornery and pissed off a large segment of the sporting public.

Sports is like pro wrestling now â€" just entertainent & the world is really messed up. We get it -- it's kind of unsettling to hear all the self-righteousness being exponded now.

    Enjoy it for what is.

I knew this was going to happen when Bud was playing all his games. I knew that he told Hank to stay away from all of the hype. This was a long time coming.

I am looking forward to a day when there is no steroid use in baseball. That day will never come, but I am looking forward to it. :-)
  • Sure, I agree. Bud may not have put anything in him, but he, his cronies, the owners and executives were enablers and turned a blind eye to it all. Only after Jose Canseco blew the lid off the can and MLB was made a fool of in front of Congress -- only did MLB care.

MLB will only get serious about testing when they adopt Olympic style testing. Yeah, MLB may never be clean; however, we'll know they are all about the fight rather than lip service.
