Barry Bonds, facing eventual Cy Young Award winner Jake Peavy, flied out to center fielder Brady Clark for the third out in the 6th inning of an 11-3 loss to the San Diego Padres. Seems pretty innocuous, considering the never ending list of accomplishments and accolades Bonds had compiled in his career. But it was significant. The date was September 26, 2007, and it was the last at-bat of Barry Bonds' baseball career. Or was it?

i hope this never happens... bonds should be done forever now he does not deserve to come back

He should not come back to play because it might ruin his legacy. However, I know that he wants to win a ring real bad and get 3,000 hits. Either way he deserves to be in the hall of fame.

The dude wants to play and he deserves to play. The blackball by MLB teams on him has been pretty childish considering every team, management and owners knew that steroids were pervasive in every organization, and did not start and stop with Bonds.

Someone will need digging out of a hole and they'll take a shot at him.
  • Please, send Barry to Boston, a major media circus. Barry will be in the 3 rings and everyone will still hate his guts. Once you hit 19 years after retirement for HOF, the Vet's get you. Enjoy, Barry. Sorry pal, the BBWAA didn't like the way you treated them. Nor did the fans, nor did your family.

The reason nobody wants him to play for their team is because he is a cancer in the clubhouse. There is no denying that he is a great ball player, but his attitude sucks, and no one wants him bringing down the moral o0f the team. And being that baseball is a team sport, I imagine that is a huge negative in his favor to be picked up by any team, no matter how good he is.
