The Astros are awful, irrelevant, and just easy to make fun of having passed the trade deadline. Instead, we're focusing on objective baseball knowledge -- which just makes the Astros look even worse/inept. Today we're focusing on why DIPS does a better job at evaluting true pitching performance -- which ERA woefully fails to do. Why does it matter to you: it makes you a smarter fan, better fantasy GM, and gives you deeper loathing of Tim Purpura.
