Who won and lost as the trade deadline passed yesterday? Will any of these trades make a major difference in the standings?

  • Finally MY BRAVES stopped bs'n for a change and got some much needed pitching! i just hope Andruw stays!... STAY TUNED..
  • "i just hope Andruw stays!"...are you sure about that? why would you want to pay a guy $14 million a season to have him bat .215 with 20 HR's, 69 RBI's, and 5 SB's...when you have Francoeur who's making a whopping $427,000 this season, and batting .300, with 12 HR's, 69 RBI's, and 2 SB's? I would strongly suggest investing the money elsewhere, like getting busy signing the newly acquired Mark Teixeira to an extension instead of trying to overpay and bring back Jones. You will be able to find a CF on the free agent market that will be good enough to help the Braves win games (for example: Corey Patterson - strikes out a lot, but steal a lot of bases, could be fairly cheap.) Or if you want to spend some big bucks and land a CF who could help out a lot...Torii Hunter. Good luck getting him before the Yankees do though.
  • The AL Central as a whole were the losers.

Trade Deadline Deals

Major League Baseball trade deadline is around the corner. These are the deals that should get done.

Teixeira, Salty, & Elvis : Broken Down

We do a quick break down on the three main players involved in the blockbuster deal and tell you why we think the Rangers came out on top in this deal.

For Yankees, today is about getting rid of Farnsworth

The clock is ticking toward today's 4 p.m. major league baseball trade deadline, and as I write this Eric Gagne is still a Texas Ranger, and Scott Proctor and Kyle Farnsworth are still New York Yankees. Most reports have the Yankees, New York Mets and Boston Red Sox all still competing to try and pry Gagne away from the Rangers. As a Yankee fan, I care less about acquiring...

Yankees stuck with Farnsworth-less

Damn! Krazy Kyle Farnsworth's stock has fallen so far that even in market where teams are desperately searching for bullpen help the New York Yankees couldn't find a team to take him off their hands. The worst news of the day for Yankee fans isn't that Eric Gagne is headed to Boston. I mean, that stinks but I am actually glad Brian Cashman didn't mortgage one of...

Should the Dbacks have made a deadline deal?

With the deadline having come and gone without a deal for the Dbacks, it really begs one very simple, very plain question. Did the Diamondbacks do the right thing by not making a deal?

Is it too early too call the police?

The gap filler that I've got for you is Kige Ramsey giving his winner and loser from the MLB trade deadline, and I have to say, I think for the first time, I'm genuinely disappointed in K-Ram...

Yankees Miss-Out as Teixeira goes to Braves

The Atlanta Braves acquired first baseman Mark Teixeira today from the Texas Rangers in a deal involving catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia and 4 other players according to ESPN. The preliminary agreement includes Atlanta picking up lefty Ron Mahay and sending minor league shortstop Elvis Andrus and two pitching prospects over to Texas. One of the prospects according to The Fort-Worth...
