The Chuck Knoblog:
Now that Richie Sexson has been cut by the last place Mariners the Yankees are have internal discussions on weather to sign the big first baseman. His number this year were not exactly sparkling his season line is .218/.315/.381 but Big Sexy knows how to hit a home run with 11 on the season. I am all for signing him what have we really have to lose? Another one dimensional 1st baseman on the Yankees. I would rather have him up there than Chad Moeller who is playing today for the first time in a month or so, and Justin Christen.

Ibanez to Mets?
The underachieving Mariners are starting to look to the future and may look to trade Raul Ibanez. They have already released Richie Sexson, who is not drawing much interest, and may shop Jose Vidro along with Adrian Beltre. Ibanez to the Mets makes a lot of sense, mostly because it would not cost the Mets much. The Mariners would still be able to land a decent prospect for him that...

The All Star Game Has Lost it's Magic
The Midsummer Classic is not what it used to be. Years ago before the game "counted" and before interleague play, I would look forward to the excitement of the American League taking on the powerful National League.
