Intentionally Not Hitting Someone Could Get You In Trouble?

Bobby Jenks is a massive dude who obviously isn't afraid to speak his mind or get in the middle of a little ruckus. So last week after the White Sox batters were getting pelted by pitch after pitch, Jenks decided to send a "We Ain't Gonna Take This BS" message. With two outs in the 9th and Rangers Star Ian Kinsler at the plate, Jenks dialed up his best fastball...

Order that Hamilton Jersey

Well, at the risk of getting sucked in by another amazing debut (see: Kapler, Gabe; and Richards, Brad), how can you not be amazed by what Josh Hamilton did in his 2nd game with the Texas Rangers? All he did was track down a few gap shots and then won the game with a 9th inning 2-run home run when y...

MLB Docks Jenks an Hour’s Pay

So the other day Bobby Jenks threw at Ian Kinsler of the Texas Rangers.  Later he admitted that he threw at him intentionally to send a message.  The first thing I thought was good for Jenks for shooting straight, followed quickly by the idea that he would almost certainly be suspended or fined a decent amount.  [...]

Don’t get confused tonight. If you happen to catch the Marlins/Brewers game early enough to night you may see left handed John Koronka who last pitched in the majors in 2007 with the Texas Rangers. Koronka was called up when the Marlins sent down outfielder Cameron Maybin, he’ll fill in for Anibal Sanchez who is dealing [...]

At 12-21, the Indians are one of the biggest disappointments in baseball so far. As we highlighted yesterday, there are plenty of reasons why the Indians should be concerned about their slow start. Obviously, there are going to be many that call for Manager Eric Wedge's job until the Indians turn it around. But for now, Wedge is not concerned about his job status.ESPN.com:CLEVELAND...

BDD: All-Star Hypotheticals

At Baseball Daily Digest, I look through the leaders in Wins Above Replacement and construct 33-man rosters for each league for the All-Star Game if the break started after last night’s games. It’s a fun hypothetical. American League C: Victor Martinez, Cleveland (1.8 WAR) 1B: Kevin Youkilis, Boston (1.9) 2B: Ian Kinsler, Texas (1.8) 3B: Evan Longoria, Tampa Bay (2.9) SS: [...]
