Braves, Nats Tie In 11
The Braves tied the Nationals in 11 innings Tuesday evening. Tom Glavine started for the Braves and gave up one unearned run on a freak occurrence - Yunel Escobar threw a ball so hard it ripped through the webbing of Mark Teixeira's glove. Teixeira later said "He might break my hand before the year's over."
First Round of Cuts
The Braves made their first round of cuts Wednesday, sending six players back to the minor leagues, including Charlie Morton and Yankees castoff Matt DeSalvo. Though we'll see them back in the majors before too long, it's time that these youngsters spend a little more time developing.
