CC Sabathia is a Class Act. That pains me to say, since he is on the Brewers and has made the Central race closer since his entrance into it. The reigning AL Cy Young winner left Cleveland with a heavy heart. Baseball is a business and Milwaukee was ready to pay his bills. Cleveland made attempts to sign C.C. past the 2008 season but contract talks stalled and the Tribe decided they needed to get something for Sabathia

The 700 Level directed us over to the recently updated NBC Olympic photo galleries that have produced pictures of the baseball team during past and present activities. The picture above is of former Brewer and current Indian Matt LaPorta during batting practice. While I have no idea where the ball went, seeing images like this make me forget about currently being in last place...

The Brewers finished off their four-game beatdown by the Cubs with an 11-4 drubbing on Thursday afternoon. Dave Bush took the loss and his record fell to 5-9 on the year. The Cubs were up 11-1 before the Crew plated three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

I lost the internet connection in the 8th inning so I'm writing this as the game is still going on.
