IMO i think Johan is the best pitcher in the game. I hate that he is playing for the Mets but he is too damn good. I like CC tho, and the fact that he is pitching for a new contract might motivate him to pitch out of his mind. We'll see, but I cant wait for opening day!!!!!! Lets go PHILLIES!!!!

CC shut down contract talks with the Indians. His reasoning is a deal isn't done and now it's time for him to report to camp and he wants to concentrate on the season. Read between the lines. He's putting on a nice face saying, I want more than what they are offering and I'm going to hit free agency to get what I want.

Sabathia Puts Contract Talks On Hold
It is a strange dichotomy for Indians fans, though. They want the team to do amazingly this season and bring home the first championship since 1948. Either way, it sounds like CC will give the Indians a chance to sign him after the season...

MLB: Twins trade Santana for nothing, sign Livan Hernandez, queue Doctor Evil music
Once the Minnesota Twins traded Johan Santana to the New York Mets for basically some mid-level prospects, I was curious to see what their next move would be. Well today we found out that the Twins just signed 54 year-old right-hander Livan Hernandez to a one year deal.
Holier than thou: Pedro and Mussina
Mike Mussina and Pedro Martinez are in love with themselves for not cheating. "You're a real man among boys, Mussina. I ought to warn you though: You and Pedro should not to pat yourselves on the back so hard. You're risking injury, which is particularly foolish in your walk years. And god knows the two of you have many more years to feel good about yourselves — doing...
