The Marlins just traded Cabrera and Willis to the Tigers. Although the Tigers gave up 4 out of their top 10 prospects in this trade, I feel that the overall winner of the trade is the Tigers.

Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that the Marlins do not intend to trade Dontrelle Willis until at least the July trading deadline. The Marlins did entertain inquiries from the Tigers and Astros over the winter.

Sweeny Murti of WFAN just reported that the Tigers have contacted the Mets about Dontrelle Willis, with the idea of spinning him off in a move to dump Willis's $13 Million Dollar Salary.
