  • Excellent article with stats backing everything up. Touche. I don't mind Casey as a back-up and one thing missing from the article is how much more experience Aaron Bates will receive in the minor leagues getting to play full time rather than every few days as a backup to Youk. It could be a good thing for the future.
  • Thanks, you are completely correct. It i hard to quantify how much the the extra playing time will help but it is undeniable that it helps. After writing it and thinking about it a ton i'm still confused with what i would have done had I been Theo.

Pirates Sign Mientkiewicz to Minor League Deal
