Free agent closer Chad Cordero threw in front of several clubs yesterday, including the Twins, Marlins, Royals, Brewers, Rangers, and Nationals, among others. Cordero is a great pitcher but battled injuries last season, pitching in just six games. Cordero is 20-14 with a 2.78 ERA with 128 career saves in six seasons with the Expos and Nationals.?Rebuffed by reliever Juan Cruz, the Twins could make an aggressive play for Cordero. Cordero would give the Twins a solid late inning reliever.
