Cubs Hub:
Well it's been a week later since the draft precluded. The Cubs have already been successful in signing several midround players and will be very active in the coming week. As the Boise Hawks (Short Season A) prepare to start their season, and have quite a few holes to fill. Talks with first rounder Josh Vitters are progressing slowly but surely. There is not too much difference and the Cubs will definately have him signed by the new draft deadline of August 15th.
