David Patton came in and did what everybody knew David Patton would do. He sucked. He allowed 5 runs in 1.2 innings. Since the Cubs have gotten rid of every other reliever that is clearly better than Patton, don’t be surprised to see Aaron Heilman DFA’d tomorrow so the Cubs can show more meaningless confidence in a pitcher who shouldn’t be pitching above AA.
