Brian Stokes, who had tossed 12 2/3 straight scoreless innings, took the mound with a one-run lead in the eighth. He surrendered an RBI single to Aramis Ramirez, then a three-run homer to Alfonso Soriano as the Cubs rallied to beat the Mets, 5-2.
