Dan Uggla set the record for most errors in an all-star game last night with 3 fielding errors - and he struck out in the top of the 15th when his team needed a hit most.

You Have Failed At Life
So i introduced this new feature a few weeks back, but as of yet haven't highlighted any 'winners' of this yet. That ends today. This weeks title bearer is: Florida Marlin's second baseman Dan Uggla. While putting together a solid season (.286 BA, 23 home runs, 59 RBI's), and being selected to his second all-star game this season, it may be hard to point to Dan Uggla as a failure...
Hurdle Diaries: All-Star Edition — Volume 2
The Hurdle Diaries return with this special all-star edition.
In Volume two — Manager Hurdle discusses the on field pre-game ceremonies, and attempts to put Dan Uggla's performance into words.
Pre-game Ceremonies
I think they could have spiced up the pre-game field ceremonies by inviting some legends that were still alive. Seriously, I thought Ted [...]
All Star Game Doesn't Disappoint...Dan Uggla However Does
Great game, Absolutely great game. And I HATE All Star festivities. I hate Exhibition games. Especially one that ended in a tie a few years ago. With that said. Tonight's game was incredible. I was one of the many who thought that the whole "This Time it Counts" A-S Game thing was completely stupid and just a TV Ad ploy. That also may have happened to coincide...
Chase Utley Tells New Yorkers **** You for Booing Him at Home Run Derby
Classic moment at the Home Run Derby introductions tonight. Chase Utley was the second player introduced by Chris Berman of ESPN, following Dan Uggla. I couldn't really hear the crowd noise too clearly, but they must have been booing because it produced a pretty clear response from Utley. Let's go to the [...]
Best and Worst of MLB All-Star Game
Who were the winners and losers of the All-Star Game that almost never ended? JD Drew was the MVP, but Tejada and others deserve some credit. How about Dan Uggla's new record?
NL back-ups lose to AL back-ups
I missed the first 6 innings, but saw the NL had a lead and thought I might watch the rest just in case they managed to hold onto the lead. History would not be made tonight as the far superior American League beat the National League in a 15-inning snooze-fest.
What essentially happened was this: after about 4 innings the best players on each team took a seat on the...
Create The Caption #246
(Usually) Everyday I'll throw out a photo from the AP or one of the bigger sites and you provide the caption. Hilarity ensues. I'm also adding a handful of links at the bottom of the page that you should check out each day.Yesterday's Winners...."Hey, it's Enrico Palazzo!"- Dan"Uta backa makwa Solo?"- Anon"Costanza is in the building! 2008 MLB All-Star Game: I Am Billy Wagner's Lack of Concern For the Common Man
I would give myself paper cuts while running on hot coals and being raped by a baby kangaroo before enduring another game like the one on which I just wasted FIVE HOURS. Okay, maybe not the kangaroo part. But paper cuts and hot coals? Hell and yes. Every notable moment in this game was designed to frustrate me more than a priest at an elementary school. Curse my unexplainable need...
All-Star Wrap-Up Blog-Post
Took me a while to post about the All-Star Game, but it just ended! Yeah, er, anyway...the AL was looking just like the Yanks for a while with all their squandered chances to win. Even Dan Uggla's 3 errors couldn't give them the game, though he obviously tried. He was definitely the Least Valuable Player. When J.D. Drew homered, two emotions came to me simultaneously: 1) Yay,...
Home Run Derby
Great Home Run Derby last night after it all Morneau is the champion. Thought he didn't win the entire crowd was behind Josh Hamilton. I personally thought that Fat Elvis (Lance Berkman) or Dan Uggla would win. That tricky Canadian came out of no where. Personally I am glad A-Rod was not in it. Josh Hamilton took so long to hit A-Rod would have the opportunity to have a few more affairs.
