David Aardsma to the Boston Red Sox: The Fantasy Impact
It's truly amazing how much of baseball is mental. In the first two months of the season, it looked as if Kenny Williams had found a diamond in the rough with the former Giants first round pick in Aardsma. Through Aardsma's first 15.6 IP, he posted a 1.72 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 23 K's (13.2 K/9 IP). But then Aardsma gave up a walk-off home run to Marcus Thames, and that was the end of Aardsma's confidence and good stats. In May, he posted a 9.00 ERA. In June he posted a 15.75 ERA. Then in July, he posted a 10.80 ERA. Overall on the year, Aardsma posted a 6.40 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, and 36 K's in 32.3 IP (10.0 K/9 IP).
We'll also look at Rod Barajas signing a one year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays. 1 Comment On: "David Aardsma to the Boston Red Sox: The Fantasy Impact"
