Do the Mariners Want Griffey?

Even though Ken Griffey Jr. hit just .249 with 18 HR, will the Mariners attempt to sign him? They will likely need a DH, and it is obvious that the whole city wants him back. Most National League teams are going to stay away with him because his hitting doesn't out weigh his fielding, but American teams should have no problems. I expect the Athletics, Royals, Blue Jays, Indians, and White Sox to show some interest in Griffey.
