ESPN2 Will Carry 08 Baseball Draft Live

Good news as far as i'm concerned. I don't think enough attention is paid to the baseball draft. My personal opinion is that it should be an event just like the NFL and NBA drafts are.

Only challenge is that the impact early round draft picks have in baseball is so much more uncertain than the nba and nfl. In basketball and football, you atleast know that the first round picks will see some good playing time the following year (w/QB as posssible exception). Baseball is a total crapshoot and the chances are a first round pick will languish in the minors for years before having a big impact, if any. Just dont think it will ever have the same fanfare.
