TEAMS: Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox
The clock is ticking toward today's 4 p.m. major league baseball trade deadline, and as I write this Eric Gagne is still a Texas Ranger, and Scott Proctor and Kyle Farnsworth are still New York Yankees.
Most reports have the Yankees, New York Mets and Boston Red Sox all still competing to try and pry Gagne away from the Rangers.
As a Yankee fan, I care less about acquiring Gagne than finding somebody, anybody to take Farnsworth-less off the Yankees hands.

Gagne won't play in NY, he'll have to shave his goatee, and if he does that he'll lose all his toughness
