Taking an in-depth look into the career, and production of the #1 off-season free agent at the shortstop position. With three teams highly interested (Red Sox, Mets, Blue Jays), is he really worth $40 million over 4 years?

With all of their resources, the Red Sox and the Mets are most likely going to bid his price up.

I thought the Mets should have grabbed him at the deadline this year. Not only would he have been great insurance for an aging Valentin down the stretch (or even now in the postseason since he's been awful with the bat the last two months), but trading for him then would have given the Mets a shot to lock him up Lugo before he even hit free agency.

Hes worth a good 7 million but when the mets and Sox need a SS that could fluctuate to about 50 % he could go for 10 mil easy in this market

I agree. I wouldn't pay all that much for him but those teams are going to drive the price way up. Good call
