Loss Ends Rich Harden's Season
Just when you let that little piece of hope back in, the Cubs yank it out of you like their Mola Ram from Temple of Doom. Rich Harden left his change up in the zone all game and paid for it as the Brewers knocked him for 5 runs in 3 innings. The first two courtesy of back-to-back two out hits by their 8 and 9 hitters in the 2nd. In the third, Aramis backed up on a chopper by...
The Cubs Need to Trade Carlos Zambrano
A season of frustration will be followed by an off-season of change for the Chicago Cubs.
Whether you think those changes should be big or small depends on how close you think the Cubs are to competing with the Cardinals in the division. I think they’re fairly far away. So, I think big changes are needed.

Is it time to put a cork on the 2009 season?
Ah, the up and downs of the baseball season. Another year where the Cubs have teased their fans with an up and down season to only see them falter towards the end. I had first thought about blogging how the Cubs were only four back in the loss column after last nights game against the Brewers but that didn’t turn out as the Brewers clobbered the Cubs and then salvaged a sweep...

Carlos Zambrano Hypothetical Trade No. 1: The Los Angeles Dodgers

CHICAGO(AP) Jody Gerut hit a grand slam, Mike Rivera delivered a key bases-loaded double and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 7-4 Thursday for a four-game split between teams finishing disappointing seasons.
Milwaukee Brewers (70-75) at Chicago Cubs (75-69), 2:20 p.m.
The Chicago Cubs have plenty of games left this season. Problem is, they can't afford to lose too many of them if they want to take a run at a playoff spot.
