Damn, that was one helluva f'ugly game. How f'ugly was it?
*The Mets scored 8 runs on only 5 hits.
*One error, two error, three error, four! Allow me to put that into perspective- 7 teams haven't committed that many errors all season, and the Phils stellar defense has now made 4 blunders in a game twice in this young season. Currently pacing the Majors with 13 errors and a breathtaking .962 fielding percentage.
*Aerosmith were working overtime last night as Kyle Kendrick ...

Kyle Kendrick is awful.SURE IS A GOOD THING WE DIDN'T SIGN LOHSE!ugh.I'll be sayin' that all year.At least Kendrick doesn't spout BS about having good "stuff" after a dismal outting like Eaton does.

Kendrick is not awful. He had a great season last year, and has only made 2 starts thus far... you're seriously calling him terrible based on 2 starts?
Eaton better dominate the mets like he usually does... I'm hoping Benson gets healthy and replaces Eaton as soon as he can.
I agree, how did we let Lohse go? We didn't want to sign him to a multiyear deal, but he ended up signing a cheap 1 yr contract (like $5 mil)?

As for Kendrick,he is awful right now and that matters a lot more than what he did last year.We can't dominate the NLEast,we were lucky to win it last year and this team is establishing a pattern of missing or making the post season by one game.I'm tired of the "it's early talk". The team ,ESPESCIALLY THE PITCHING,cannot afford to waste games while everyone hones their skills. Our fielding is subpar and the rotation is way too fragile for Myers and Kendrick to enter the season slowly.

I understand every hates the it's early start stuff, but you can't call someone horrible for it. Saying he's been doing terrible works though. It's not like you would say Eaton is solid/good just because he had one good outing. Even though Kendrick had shaky command yesterday, he was pitching through it until the defense f***ed him over. He only had 1 ER, and could have went a lot deeper into the game if he had a working defense behind him.
Myers needs to step it up, but I think he will. Moyer looked good on Tuesday, not fantastic, but i'll take 2 runs over 6 innings every time out.
Eaton pitched well his last time, but he needs to prove he can do it consistently after his pathetic season last year. He usually has success against the mets, so hopefully he can pitch well tonight, gain some confidence and build on it. I'm not holding my breath though!
Hamels is amazing.
The whole team needs to step it up. We were great on defense last year, and we need to be solid to help our pitching staff. The offense needs to be more consistent as well and stop stranding so many runners.
