An error in the second inning led to three unearned runs in Inland Empire’s 5-2 loss to the Quakes. Mario Alvarez took the loss and he dropped to 4-6 in his start. He gave up four runs (just one earned) on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts in three innings.

The fact that the only player with a walk and an extra base hit last night was the starting pitcher, Sosa, really gives you an insight on how this team's offense has been performing for most of the past 5 weeks or so.
