The same team we swept and left town mocking, especially since we had a better record at the time!?Yeah, actually. The Astros, who were nowhere near the playoff conversation at the trade deadline, still decided to add rather than rebuild at the deadline. Sure, they just got Randy Wolf and LaTroy Hawkins (neither of whom are really that good), but they had every reason to shop some veterans (i.e. Miguel Tejada) and add some prospects (like we did) since they really had no reason to do otherwise.
