Starting in left field and batting cleanup for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Garret Anderson went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts in Game 1 of the ALDS.
Not very impressive, unless you consider that Garret Anderson is suffering from pinkeye (conjunctivitis).
It was clearly visible from his first at bat, where at first glance it looked like he'd taken a wicked punch to his right eye, which seemed to be almost swollen shut.
No punch, the TBS crew informed viewers, just a bad case of pinkeye (conjunctivitis).
