Recapturing the "good old days" (scoff)
No, not the World Series, you big silly. The Japan Series! That’s right, Dubya threw out the first pitch before Game 3 of the Japanese equivalent of the World Series.
New York Yankees and Philadelphia Philles? With his current US reputation, try Yomiuri Giants and Nippon Ham Fighters. So it goes. I didn’t even know Japan had it’s World Series at the same time as us, but apparently they do, replete with former American leaders. Good old-fashioned November baseball!
Of course, there was a time when Bush threw out the first pitch before Game 3 of an American World Series, too. Back in that insane fall of 2001, just a month and a half after 9/11, he grooved...
