That's a great point. For as much as people despise the Steinbrenners, often with good reason, no one can doubt their willingness to take financial risks to put a competitive product out on the field.

Pohlad, if I'm not mistaken, is second only to the owners of the Kansas City Royals in terms of personal wealth.
