Selig's an idiot! And put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame! He bet on his team yeah, TO WIN! Nothing wrong with that. He was proud of his team.
So much for Bud Selig's idea about taking back the home run crown that Barry Bonds stole from Hank Aaron two years ago. As soon as the Commish started talking about the idea, Aaron, magnanimously, shot down the idea as a pretty silly idea. For the second ...

HANK AARON IS AND ALWAYS BE A TOTAL CLASS GUY AL THE WAY

Home runs...a very subjective feat to say the least. It's not like you are dealing with the same dimensions in all ballparks, thus how much stock can you truly put into this stat anyway! Why is it that some guy that jerks one out to the short proch in the now former Yankee Stadium is a monumental feat when that same poke in many other ball parks would be considered a "Can of Corn" and just another routine pop fly out. 3000 hits is just that, 3000 hits. If you get the right jerk on it 500 times and the ball clears the yard, then you should be considered in the debate of all time HR King (lets figure total distance in these Taco's and see who leads the group). It's too bad those that did it with out the assist of science have to share the stage with those that did, but, we all are in this society of greed, cheating and all about me. Just watch the news. This culture has infiltrated all aspects of life!

Are 90-lb Cheerleaders On Roids? Better Find Out

Selig Could Reinstate Aaron As Home Run King
Old Bud Selig just can’t keep up with the steroid scandals. Evidently they’ve been coming too thick and fast for him, since he’s only now dealing with the fallout from Barry Bonds’ ascension into the role of home run king now, claiming that he fully intends to investigate stripping Bonds of the ...

Hey Bud, Why Stop With Hank Aaron's Home Run Record?
I don't know if you know this or not, but since he's commissioner of Major League Baseball, Bud Selig seems to think this gives him special privileges that nobody else in America is privy to. Why, as commissioner of baseball he's not bound by the ex post facto laws of our society, which means ...

Jason Whitlock Steps Up
Look, Dwil, Modi, Dave Zirin, Temple3 and I have been some of Jason Whitlock’s biggest critics on the web and talk radio. The readers of SOMM and TSF collectively have been just as critical. I felt personally betrayed after my interview with him because I thought his dissent of Lupica and the ...

MLB Players Should Come Clean
As I watched Peter Gammons’ Alex Rodriguez interview, I was disappointed to learn that one of MLB’s ‘faces of the sport’ had used Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs–an acronym now as common as RBI). But in what had to be an embarrassing, humbling moment for the Hall of Fame talent, he appeared ...
Strange Fruit, Pt. III: “Things Don’t Get Challenged In Baseball”
I was struck by something last week, and I?m going to try and lay it out for you. Here?s a game we often play around here:
Athlete A: The best ever at what he did. Brought down by forces outside his sport when no one in his sport could stop him. Unlikeable, on many accounts. A braggart, given over to his vices; womanizer, lecher, and abuser. Lawbreaker.
Athlete B: The best ever...

Quite possibly!
We've all been wondering who are the remaining 103 names on the steroid list that A-Rod was found on.
Names are being thrown around left and right, including St. Louis Cardinals first baseman, Albert Pujols and former Mets catcher, Mike Piazza.
Here's a name that I never really thought about, but is being mentioned: Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez.
There's an article done...
