I dont get it. Paul Loduca may not be the best defensive backstop or the best offensive one for that matter, but I would have liked to see the fire and guts he put out on the field day in and day out than any other catcher the Mets are pursuing. A great deal of the Mets dramatic fall in 2007 seemed to be complacency. I dont know where they are going to get that "Fire" without Loduca. Paul Loduca became a fan favorite because of those attributes. Loduca seemed to call a good game and was also very hard to strike out. It will be interesting to see Johnny Estradas reaction if he is slumping and moved in the batting order.
