One of the few pitchers available on the trade market just got dealt. The Devil Rays traded Mark Hendrickson and Toby Hall to the Dodgers for Jae Seo, Dionner Novarro, and a player to be named later.
I like this deal for the Dodgers. Hendrickson seems to have found a groove, and even though his K/9 rate's a little low, As David Pinto points out (http://www.baseballmusings.com/archives/015725.php) his line-drive percentage and slugging percentage against are significantly down, meaning he's getting the batters to hit the ball AT his defenders. Seo, on the other hand, has made Omar Minaya look like a genius (certainly not the only evidence). Flash in the pan? You betcha.
