It all helps. Tonight's game was a crazy one.-(Deep Breath)-The Bucs scored in the first after a Nyjer hustle double. They tacked on another in the 3rd (both runs via Doumit RBI singles). The Dodgers scored 4 off Duke in the 4th, two of them thanks to a 2-out walk to the pitcher. Adam LaRoche hit a solo shot to make it 4-3. The score stayed 4-3 until the 5th, when with two outs and nobody one, three straight men reached base and LaRoche sent one yard to center for the third Pirate grand slam of the year. 7-4, game in control, right?Well, Duke allowed another baserunner, came out, and TJ Beam allowed 2 hits before HE came out. The Dodgers quickly cut the deficit to 1, so it was 7-6. Grabow allowed that 7th run to score in the 8th (once again, after 2 outs, nobody on), so it was tied (no win for Duke). So, guess what happened in the bottom of the 7th? Two outs, nobody on, then this:McLouth walk, Doumit homer, Adam LaRoche single, Moss double, Andy LaRoche single, Mientkiewicz trip...

Juan Pierre Has Amazing Power

Seriously though, congratulations to him, i've never seen the guy look so happy this year. That home run wasn't a lucky one that just cleared either, that shit was crushed. The swing reminded me of Kenny Lofton in his prime. Unfortunately, that is where my love fest for Juan ends. Mainly because I will throw up in my mouth if a 3 for 5 game and one home run means more...

Dodgers Baseball Fan Consecutive Game Streak, Commercial

Dodgers Baseball Fan Consecutive Game Streak, Commercial. Check out this Dodger Blue bleeding freek. :-)? I think his consecutive game streak is at about 3 and a half years. He grew a nice stache as well. I am not the biggest Dodgers fan, but this commercial is pretty cool.

Time To Trade Matt Kemp Or: Why I Do What I Do

Don't panic, i'm only joking. However, some people in this world actually believe that trading Kemp would be the prudent thing to do. This belief disturbs me to such a point that I felt it was necessary to make a post about it. :oActually, this post has very little to do with the Dodgers and a lot more to do with Dodger fans. Ever since I made my Kuroda post, i've been getting...

Please Tell Me This Is A Joke

So it took about a week of the Dodgers being in first place for a sportswriter to start praising the jobs that Joe Torre and Ned Colletti have done "turning around" the Dodgers. The lucky guy's name is Bruce Jenkins, and ol' Jenky boy is fellating the Dodgers real good. "Add Manny, subtract Kent - Dodgers baseball is fun again" Really? That's funny, I thought...

Dodgers Holding Game-Worn Charity Auction

Hold off on the Dodger dogs...jerseys might be a better investment.

Should people be afraid of the Dodgers?

Playoffs are right around the corner and the hottest team in baseball is one of the most mediocre teams: the Dodgers. They'll be in the playoffs. Should other playoffs teams be threatened?

Los Angeles Dodgers & Albuquerque Isotopes Sign 2 Year Player Development Contract - Dodger Blue Back in 'Burque!

The Los Angeles Dodgers return to Albuquerque after ankling for Las Vegas in 2000. They played as the Las Vegas 51s from 2001-2008 to a near .500 record. Albuquerque is a newer park with fans that had followed Dodger Blue for decades. Is the hand of the Baseball Channel at work here again?

Bucs Lose in Extras

As good as the Pirates have been in extra innings, they weren't quite good enough today. But they were darn close.-Two good young pitchers started, Maholm and Kershaw, and neither got a decision (meaning Paul will have just one more shot at a 10th win), although both pitched quite well. The score was 3-3 after nine innings that featured clutch hits by Andy LaRoche and Luis Cruz...

Bloody Sock Should Spend Less Time Worrying About Everyone Else

How many times have we heard Curt Schilling fire off blasts at teammates, former teammates, and even athletes from different sports on his stupid ass blog and on radio shows.  Schilling is the pretentious dick who takes it upon himself to weasel his way into everyone elses business while he's sitting on his ass rehabbing [...]
