The Florida Marlins refuse to sign a bonafide superstar but may be willing to overpay for a new catcher to replace Miguel Olivo. Yorvit Torrealba is the main target of the Florida Marlins for this offseason, looking for a more consistent option for Miguel Olivo to work with the young pitchers. Yorvit flew on the scene this season after having a solid post season. The Marlins have made it clear that upgrading defense is a huge priority and have been telling other GM's around the meetings in Orlando that they've set aside a healthy allocation to address their catching deficiencies.
