Injuries piling up for Pedro, again

Oft-injured Pedro Martinez is up to his old tricks again, forcing the New York Mets to make changes to their upcoming rotation. The 36-year old pitcher received a cortisone injection in his right hip to help with the pain in his groin. The good news is his shoulder pain wasn't anything to worry about. The soreness was from altering his pitching motion due to the groin. So what does this mean for the team and pitcher?

Mango tree time!, as Petey so classically put it

It's too bad too. I love Pedro :(

Petey was, from 98' to 02', the most dominating pitcher relative to all of MLB's historical pitching runs...those four seasons, and maybe biased here, was the best shutdown run by any pitcher ever...and Sox had him for his prime, as current Sox FO seems to have a knack for getting rid of players right at the end of prime time...yeah SAddict, I miss those times too...if he had 20 more pounds and was two inches taller, easily the best pitcher of all time career-wise...as he wouldn't have been so fragile
