Arizona Diamondbacks:
• The Phillies and Yankees were warned about throwing inside after New York's Alex Rodriguez was hit in the back by Joe Blanton in the first inning of Game 4 — tying the World Series record by getting hit for the third time. He was hit with the first pitch, stood near the plate with hands on hips and stared at the Yankees dugout. After umpires met near the mound, plate umpire Mike Everitt signaled the warning.
