Interview with Cubs announcer, Len Kasper
Once again Len Kasper was nice enough to grant us the time for an interview, and we're very greatful. Len's been nothing but great to us here at CubsHub.com and we appreciate all of the help he's given us. He's even gone so far as to ask around and do some research for us regarding Angel Guzman, which you'll see later in the interview.
CubsHub: How did you get started in the broadcasting business? Was it something you've always wanted to do? Or was it something that you stumbled into while looking for other opportunities? Len Kasper: I technically got started in broadcasting when I was still in high school. I hooked on with a small radio station, WMMI, which was a few miles from my house in Shepherd, MI. It was an oldies station and I began by running commercials during network shows and eventually got to do a little on-air work (local sports scores on Saturday mornings, etc.). It was a great introduction into the business. I later worked for a couple radio stations in Milwaukee (WISN and then WTMJ) after I graduated from Marquette University. From a very early age, all I wanted to do was be a big league broadcaster. I'm very, very fortunate to be living out my dream.
