A white substance was "discovered" under the brim of K-Rod's cap the other night. Was he doctoring the ball? It depends what source you read from, but the fellas at Halos Heaven don't think so. Read the comments.

I can see the sports photoshoppers at work now, inserting K-Rod's face into a photo of Al Pacino nose-deep in cocaine from Scarface.

Did you see when the camera was on him while he was in the pen? He went to the brim of his hat with his thumb like five times in a row.

Yeah, what's confusing to me is whether there are some foreign substances that teams/players allow during the course of a game. I know a pitcher isn't supposed to use anything, but everytime something like this happens, the x-player turned broadcaster in the booth says something like "it's really hard for a pitcher to get a feel for a ball during a really cold night." It sounds like a Kenny Rogers situation. In that event, the WS of all places, Tony Larussa did nothing. To me that's an admission that this sort of thing happens all of the time. If that's the case, and it's accepted, should we as fans care if the players and managers don't?
