Ken Griffey will go down as the last great player of his Generation. He did it the right way, he did it clean. All of the other inflated numbers don't overshadow him because his name has NEVER been invovled with any of the other names out there. Further proof that he did it right. Luis Maza waited 10 years for his shot in the majors. One can only imagine the joy he felt when he received word he would join the big club. There he was on Monday at Miller Park in Milwaukee set to join his Dodger teammates and put on a major league uniform for the first time.
To bad for Maza the Dodgers were not slated to play in Milwaukee until Tuesday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers infield has been ravaged by injuries so far this year. They were in such dire needs at third base, that AA prospect Blake DeWitt had to open the season as the teams guy. Now the team is being forced to go with Chin-Lung Hu at short stop. The reason? The team's starting shortstop Rafael Furcal was placed on the 15-day disabled list before Monday's game...

Jason Schmidt made a phenomenal performance today with the Inland Empire 66ers, the Dodgers' A-Baseball affiliates. The three-time All-Star had shoulder surgery this past June and has been taking small steps on his return to the Dodgers' Starting-Rotation. He is predicted to make his miraculous return in early June.

Rafael Furcal, suffering from a strained lower back, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. The shortstop has missed his last four games due to this ailment. Hopefully, this injury will not lead to serious complications in the future.
