SporTech Matter:
There might not be an owner in baseball who adores Bonds more than Jeffrey Loria. He even flew Bonds to New York last year on his private plane, drawing a fine from the commissioner's office. Certainly, Bonds would sell plenty of tickets. But can they convince Bonds that Florida will be a contender?
Would money hungry Jeffrey Loria bite the bullet to put asses in the seats and put money towards a Bonds signing rather than put that money towards a longterm deal for Miguel Cabrera.
So I guess, Barry Bonds to the Florida Marlins is a possibility. I don't think the young clubhouse of the Marlins is ready to watch Bonds drink elk sperm.

Pedroia Is Your AL Rookie of the Year
Looking back at the month of April when Dustin Pedroia was barely hitting his weight, you wouldn't have even thought that he could be the AL Rookie of the Year. Then as the season went on when he started hitting around Miguel Cabrera's weight, you could definitely see him being the rookie of the year.
Astros And Giants Like Tejada
Jon Heyman on SI.com reports that the Astros and Giants are interested in Miguel Tejada's services. The Dodgers and Angels would look to Tejada as a fall back or as an alternate to Miguel Cabrera, whom they both have been reported to have interest in.

The next secret surprise?
By Chuck Richter - Angelswin.com Senior Editor
In my previous article I mentioned how Angels owner Arte Moreno, GM Tony Reagins, Manager Mike Scioscia and Preston Gomez are in the Dominican Republic right now. The reason could be to just visit their Dominican Baseball Academy or possibly take a detour south to Venezuela to meet with Miguel Cabrera or Johan Santana in hopes of...
Joe Bowen Singles Tigers to Win Over Nationals
Miguel Cabrera and Ivan Rodriguez both belted solo shots in the Tigers 4-3 win over the Nationals today but it was Joe Bowen who was filling in at catcher and who came up with the late inning heroics. His ninth inning RBI single broke a 3-3 ties that gave the Tigers the win. Cabrera finished the...

2008 Fantasy Baseball 3B Rankings: Keeper League Draft Values
The string of infielders in which the NL dominates the AL almost comes to an end with 3B. There is little argument that Alex Rodriguez tops the list, but what about Miguel Cabrera versus David Wright? I'd take the 20+ SB of Wright over Cabrera, but I understand if others do not. If Ryan Braun ma...
Did BALCO Lie To Athletes About What They Were Taking?
As more athletes cave in to pressures of federal investigators about their use of steroids, a familiar alibi has popped up enough times for me to take notice. "THEY TOLD ME IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE!!!".. Do I believe it?.. No, not necessarily, but I do think it's worth looking into.
Yo! Hand over Santana
By Chuck Richter - Senior Editor Angelswin.com
When the Twins offered Santana a four-year extension - beginning in 2009 - for a total of $80 million, which he rejected, it was an obvious rejection because Santana certainly will clear more than that on either the free-agent front or via another team that acquires him in a trade.
Santana, who will turn 29 in March, is perhaps...
