I dont think a team has ever played harder because of a players comments. If you need to be motivted by someone else this deep into the playoffs, you were in trouble to begin with.

but also human nature to hear the media/opposition and remember what is said by anyone credible...a harder duality with the real good teams in playoffs...they say "we are beyond external comments, but we heard "a little something something from so and so"...I would hope that "something something" would give a little extra sliver of motivation during the week prior...the "Fast Times at Ridgemont High football seen" says it all...this article really makes ya get real introspective...good stuff

The N.E. press is digging up these quotes from other teams that are seriously dated, just to rally there team. How far back are they gonna go, six, eight months - one year. Give me a freakin break!
