Mike Hampton returned to the rotation today and pitched 4-1/3 inning. He gave up one run and had very good movement on his pitches. The best part? No body parts fell off, nothing got strained or re-injured, and nothing got tweaked. As a bit of a side note, the Braves lost to the Cardinals 4-2.

Jeff Francoeur, or "Frenchie" as they call him, was hit in the face by a pitch a few days ago. He should be expected to play in Thursday night's game against the Tigers. Good to see Francoeur back in action and not seriously injured, unlike when he was hit in the face in the minor leagues.
